How do I update my account details?

How do I know what unit size I need?

We have a handy space estimator to help you choose the right size unit for your needs. If you're still not sure chat to us online or give us a call.

What am I allowed to store?

You can store anything that is not explosive, flammable, illegal, perishable or environmentally harmful. We are always here to help so don't hesitate to give one of our experts a call if you're not sure.

Do you offer powered units?

Power is not generally available for customer use in storage units. Any electricity use must be requested in advance and approved in writing by Storage King at its sole discretion. Approval is not guaranteed and is subject to facility rules, safety requirements and the terms of your storage agreement.

Can I store fresh food or other perishables??

Unfortunately, fresh food or perishable goods can't be stored in your unit.

Can you help me with my packing?

Yes we certainly can. We work alongside our preferred partners to make that happen for you.

Can you help with a removalist?

Yes, we can organise a removalist to have your things picked up and delivered into your storage unit. Our movers range from local, interstate and international movers.

What kind of security measures are in place?

Our sites are equipped with surveillance equipment including perimeter fencing, security lighting, controlled entries and CCTV cameras to ensure your things are safe and secure.

You can choose to insure your goods with us from as little as $2.50 per $1,000 cover, per month.

When do I have to pay?

Generally you pay every month on the anniversary date you put your things into storage. Alternatively you can choose a date that suits you.

How often can I access my things?

You can access your things as often as you like during normal access hours. These hours can vary by store, so check your local store for details.

How do I cancel my booking?

Call or email us at the store to cancel your booking.

How many boxes am I going to need?

Before you store, make sure to buy the right boxes and packing materials so you can pack your things according to categories: kitchen, living room, bathroom, garage, etc. It also helps to pack well so you can neatly organise your storage unit and make future access easier. If you're not sure, try our online packing wizard. We have handy contacts to pack it all up and take it off your hands as well.

What happens if I move out early?

We generally need 14 days notice to vacate the space, but we understand that circumstances can change quickly. Give us a call as early as possible and we can help you manage the rest.

Do I need to sign a contract in order to rent a unit?

We do have an agreement that is in line with Self Storage Association of Australasia requirements. The good news is, it's only a month to month contract, with no lock-in period. See in store for our Storage Terms & Conditions.

What do I have to do before move-in day?

Use our express online check-in feature if you want to save time on the day. Our moving check list will also help you save time.

Can I still access my things on public holidays?

If the store has gate access enabled via a pin code, yes you can.

What are my payment options?

You can book and pay online or in store. We accept Credit Card, Cash, Cheque, EFT.

Can you provide assistance with moving my things in and out of storage?

We can assist with discounted truck, van or trailer hire. Let us know early and we can make the arrangements for you.

We recommend that you take out insurance cover.</li> <li>The Facility Owner (the “FO”) is excluded from liability for the loss of any goods stored on its premises, except for laws which cannot be excluded, including rights under Australian Consumer Law.</li> <li>You must not store hazardous, dangerous, illegal, stolen, flammable, perishable, environmentally harmful or explosive goods.</li> <li>Unless specifically itemized and covered by insurance you must also not store goods that are irreplaceable such as currency, jewellery, furs, deeds, paintings, curios, works of art and items of personal sentimental value or items worth more than $2000 AUD in total.
